The Haluk Akakçe Foundation for Art, Culture and Education was established in 2025 by the artist’s wife, Nevzat Bayazıt Akakçe, fulfilling his long-held wish to create a foundation that would share the unifying and transformative power of art.
It stands as the continuation of a dream the artist envisioned but could not realize before his passing.Carrying forward Haluk Akakçe’s vision, the Foundation is dedicated to preserving the principles that defined his life and art — creativity, freedom, and universality.
Inspired by the light, motion, and rhythm that permeated his work, the Foundation aspires to become a living space where art connects, inspires, and transforms.Its mission is to honor and protect Haluk
Akakçe’s artistic legacy, to nurture new generations of artists, and to contribute to the cultural, educational, and social enrichment of society through the enduring language of art.
NAME OF THE FOUNDATION
The foundation is established under the name “Haluk Akakçe Foundation for Art, Culture and Education.”Its short name is “Haluk Akakçe Foundation.
HEADQUARTERS
The foundation’s headquarters are located in Beşiktaş, Istanbul. Address: Vişnezade Mahallesi, Süleyman Seba Caddesi, Akaretler Sıraevler No:33, Beşiktaş, Istanbul, Türkiye with the approval of the Board of Directors and relevant authorities, the Foundation may open branches, representative offices, and liaison centers both in Turkey and abroad.
PURPOSE OF THE FOUNDATION
The Foundation was established to preserve, promote, and
advance the name, artworks, and intellectual legacy of the artist Haluk Akakçe.
Its mission is to connect art with society, support emerging artists, and foster cultural, artistic, scientific, and social development in Türkiye.
Guided by a contemporary and independent spirit, the Foundation engages in art, culture, education, and health initiatives that nurture creativity and encourage new ways of seeing and thinking.
